Connect a wearable (Whoop or Oura)

Link your Whoop or Oura so your sleep and stress fill in on their own and factor into how you trade.

What connecting a wearable does

If you wear a Whoop band or an Oura ring, TradeDNA can pull in your sleep and stress each day so you do not have to log them by hand. Those numbers feed your daily risk score, so Helix and your dashboard can factor in how rested you are before you place a trade.

This is a read-only link. TradeDNA reads your sleep and stress from the wearable. It never posts anything back to it, and it does not touch your workouts or anything else.

Connect your wearable

  1. Go to Settings, then Connections.

  2. Scroll to the Wearables section, below the connection tabs.

  3. You will see a card for Whoop and a card for Oura. Choose Connect on the one you use.

  4. You will be sent to that provider to sign in and approve access. Approve it, and you land back in TradeDNA.

Once you are back, the card shows Connected and your first sync starts. Your sleep and stress start filling in shortly after.

What data is used

Two things sync from your wearable, both about how ready you are to trade:

  • Sleep - how well you slept the night before.

  • Stress - your stress or strain for the day.

That is all. TradeDNA does not read your heart rate, your workouts, your location, or anything outside sleep and stress.

Your own journal always wins. On any day you set the sleep or stress sliders yourself in your journal, that value is used and the wearable does not override it. The wearable only fills in the days you skip. Focus is never pulled from a wearable, so you still set that one yourself.

How it feeds your risk score

Each day, TradeDNA builds a risk score from a few signals, and how rested you are is one of them. A short night or a high-stress reading nudges the score, the same way a rough journal entry would.

You will see the result in the risk pill, which sits on your dashboard and travels with you into Helix. The pill shows a color for the day (green, yellow, or red) alongside your Stress, Focus, and Sleep numbers. When a number came from your wearable instead of the sliders, hovering it shows a small "From your wearable" note, so an auto-filled value never reads like a slider you forgot you set.

Helix reads the same score when it coaches you, so a day that starts with poor sleep is context it already has.

This is context, not a verdict. TradeDNA surfaces how rested you are so you can see it, and it never blocks a trade or tells you to stop. What you do with the read is up to you.

Disconnect a wearable

To unlink one, open the Wearables section again and choose Disconnect on that card. The sleep and stress already synced to your journal stay with you. Only future syncing stops.

If a card is missing

You will only see a card for a wearable that TradeDNA supports at the moment. If your device is not listed yet, send the team a message from the app and let us know what you use.
