Where these settings live
Everything in this tour lives in one place. Go to Settings, then Account. From the top of that page down, you will find your profile, your privacy controls, and how the app looks. This article walks each one in turn.
Your profile
Your profile is the top block on the Account page. A few fields you can adjust:
Handle is your username. It is what your public profile is found by, and it accepts letters and numbers, 3 to 20 characters. As you type, you will see whether the handle is available.
Display name is the name shown next to your trades and chats. It is optional.
Timezone is the one we use to group your trades and journal entries by day. Set it to the timezone you actually trade in so your days line up.
Base currency is the currency your combined totals are shown in when you view all accounts together. Each account still shows its own currency on its own.
Your Email is shown here too, but it is read-only for now. If you need to change it, send the team a message and we will take care of it.
When you have made a change, choose Save changes at the bottom of the block.
Appearance: light or dark mode
Further down the Account page is the Appearance block. This is where you switch between light and dark mode. There are three tiles:
Dark is the classic look.
Light is easier on the eyes in bright rooms and daytime desks.
System follows whatever your device is set to, so it changes with your device between light and dark on its own.
Pick a tile and it applies right away. The choice sticks to your account, so it looks the same everywhere you sign in.
Privacy and security
Two controls on the Account page cover privacy and app access.
The AI features toggle controls whether Helix looks at your trades, journal, and stats to coach you. When it is on, Helix can read your data to give you feedback. When it is off, it will not. Either way, your data is never sold and never used to train AI models. You can turn this on or off any time.
If you use the TradeDNA app on your phone, you will also see a Face ID lock control. Turn it on to require Face ID when you reopen the app on that device, so a passing glance at your phone will not open your journal. This setting is per device and shows up only in the phone app, so you will not see it when you sign in from a browser.
