What mentor sharing does
Mentor sharing lets a coach or mentor look over your trading. They get a read-only view of your account: they can review your trading and leave you feedback, but they cannot edit your trades, your journal, or anything else. You can revoke their access at any time.
A mentorship can start from either side:
You invite your coach from Settings.
A mentor invites you, by email or with a join link.
Inviting a coach yourself is available on Pro (one mentor) and Quant (up to three). Joining a mentor's roster works on any active plan and does not count against those mentor slots.
Invite a coach
Go to Settings, then Mentor sharing.
In Invite a mentor, type your coach's email address.
Review What they can see. Every mentorship shares the same standard set of areas, listed in the next section, so there is nothing to configure.
Choose Send invitation.
Your coach gets an email with a link to accept. Invitations expire after 14 days. Until they accept, the invite sits under Pending invitations, where you can choose Cancel to pull it back. Once they accept, they show up under Mentors with access. Your coach needs their own TradeDNA account with an active plan to view your account.
When a mentor invites you
Mentors can also invite you to their roster, either with an email invitation or a join link they share with their group. Both land you on a page that shows who is inviting you and exactly what you would be sharing, before anything is shared. Choose Join and you are in; your mentor sees nothing until that moment. Joining a mentorship requires an active plan on your side.
What a coach can and cannot see
Every mentorship shares the same read-only set:
Dashboard: your overview, P&L curve, and rule compliance at a glance.
Trades: your trade log and per-trade detail.
Reports: your P&L, win rate, and performance analytics.
Playbooks: your trading plans and prop-firm challenge progress.
Journal: your scores, moods, journaling consistency, and the entries you write.
Mindset: a read on your emotional patterns over time, like average stress and common moods.
Your mentor may also get an AI recap of your shared activity each week, built only from the areas above.
One thing is never shared, with no setting to change it: your AI psychologist conversations. Mindset shows patterns, never the conversations themselves. And a mentor can never act on your account: no editing trades, no changing settings, nothing.
The feedback you get
Mentors can leave notes on a specific trade, on a journal entry, or as a general note. When one lands, you get a notification through the channels you have turned on in Settings, then Notifications, and the note shows up where it belongs:
On the Trades page, a trade with feedback carries a small notes marker.
On the trade itself, the feedback appears under Mentor notes.
On a journal day, it appears under From your mentor.
All notes opens a panel with everything your mentors have left, including general notes, each linking to the trade or entry it is about.
When you open a note it is marked as seen, and your mentor can tell whether you have read it yet.
Playbooks your mentor suggests
A mentor can suggest a playbook to you. The suggestion appears as a card at the top of your Playbooks page, with their note attached. Nothing on your account changes until you act on it:
Review & adopt opens the normal adopt flow. A mentor's suggestion also unlocks that playbook for you, whatever your plan.
Not now sets the suggestion aside. Your mentor is never told you set it aside; they only see that you have not adopted it yet.
Revoke access anytime
You are always in control of who can see your account.
Go to Settings, then Mentor sharing.
Find the coach under Mentors with access.
Choose Revoke next to their name.
Access ends right away: they can no longer open your account, and you drop off their roster. If you invited someone who has not accepted yet, choose Cancel next to their name under Pending invitations to pull the invite back.
