How it works
Tradovate and NinjaTrader connect through secure sign-in, so you do not enter a password into TradeDNA. The connection is read-only, and we never place or change orders. After you sign in, you choose which accounts to add before any new account starts syncing.
These platforms stream new trades from the moment you connect but do not carry deep past history. To bring older trades in, import a statement under the Import files tab. The connection keeps each selected account synced from that point forward.
1. Add the connection
Go to Settings, then Connections, open the Auto-sync tab, choose Add auto-sync account, and pick Tradovate or NinjaTrader.
2. Sign in
Choose Connect Tradovate (or Connect NinjaTrader). You will be taken to sign in with your account, then brought back to TradeDNA. No new account is added until you make a selection in the next step.
3. Choose the accounts
TradeDNA opens Choose accounts after you return. Select one or more accounts, then choose Connect account or the button showing the number of accounts, such as Connect 2 accounts.
Each card shows the account name or number, Live or Demo, and its current state: Connected, Ready to reconnect, or Available. The card also shows the available balance when the platform supplies one. If a balance is not available, the card says Balance unavailable instead of guessing.
Only the accounts you select are added or reconnected. Accounts you leave unselected do not appear under Disconnected and do not use a connected-account slot.
Bringing in past trades
Want your history too? On the connected account, use the Import history link, or go to the Import files tab and upload your orders report. TradeDNA keeps the selected account synced from here.
Running several accounts?
Export once. If your orders report covers every account you trade, upload that single file and TradeDNA lists each account it found alongside where the trades will go, matched up by account name. Change any destination, or set one to Skip to leave it out, then import them all in one pass.
Accounts we could not match are listed too, so nothing is dropped quietly. Pick where those should go and they import with the rest. Uploading the same report again is safe: trades already in TradeDNA are recognised and never added twice.
