The command palette

Press Cmd-K to jump to any page or run a quick action from anywhere.

What it is

The command palette is a quick launcher that opens on top of whatever page you are on. Type a page name or an action, and it takes you there. It is the fastest way to move around TradeDNA without reaching for the mouse.

Press Cmd-K (Ctrl-K on Windows) anywhere in the app to open it. You can also click Ask Helix in the sidebar. Press Cmd-K again, or Esc, to close it.

Find a page or action

  1. Open the palette with Cmd-K.

  2. Start typing. The list narrows as you type, matching pages and actions.

  3. Use the up and down arrows to move through the list, or hover with the mouse.

  4. Press Enter, or click a row, to run it.

What you can do from it

  • Jump to any page with a Go to row for Dashboard, Journal, Trades, Trade Desk, Fundamentals, Playbooks, and Helix.

  • Open the other pages the same way: Economic calendar, News, COT positioning, Reports, and Settings.

  • Start my day to open your Dashboard game plan for the session ahead.

  • Open today's journal to write your entry.

  • Add trade to log a trade by hand.

  • Ask Helix for a pre-session check to get a read on your state, the calendar, and the rules to follow today.

  • Ask Helix anything. Type your question and pick the Ask Helix row at the bottom, and it opens the chat with your question ready to send.

A shortcut worth keeping

Most people learn one route and then use the palette for everything else. Once Cmd-K is muscle memory, you rarely open a page from the sidebar again. Give it a day and it sticks.
